Narcissa catches Andromeda with farmer’s son Ted Tonks and confides her suspicions to Bellatrix; furious, Bellatrix forces one sister against the other with irreperable, life-altering consequences. On the eve of Tonks’ deployment to France, Andromeda leaves for Scotland where she enlists in the WLA in order to distance herself - and her secret child - from the sinister world of her family. Meanwhile, Narcissa is engaged to pro-appeasement politician Lucius Malfoy who introduces Bellatrix to Lord Riddle, the leader of the British fascist party and long time friend of Hitler. As one sister becomes beholden to madness, Narcissa realises the grave error against the other but discovers it’s too late for atonement when Andromeda and Ted are killed while on leave in an air raid.
